Yeruham Welfare Department

The concept we proposed for the design of the Yeruham Welfare Department evolved naturally from the conditions of its location in the urban fabric and its program.

 

The building is planned to stand in an inner plot, between a main road (Hashmonaim road) and a parking lot behind it. In order to get from one side to the other, we designed a diagonal path through our building. We developed the path by "breaking" the shell around it, opening the space and by this creating an inner piazza.

 

The role of the Department is to take care of the welfare of the inhabitants. As an answer to the above said, the building we designed for it donates a piazza, a place for community encounters, for the welfare of the population that visits it, or passes through it.
