The MDA Center in Modi'in (2017)
The MDA Center will be built on Emek HaEla str close to its intersection with Emek Kharod str, establishing a leaping point for ambulances in the city. The distribution of the different rooms in the building, fulfill the purpose of maximizing the efficiency in their leap: the drivers and volunteers bedrooms are as close as possible to the parked ambulances. On the other hand, oxygen tanks are places as far as possible to avoid accidents as the cars ignite.
There are two mayor halls in the building: one is for CPR lectures and the other is for blood donations. At this point, Modi'ins inhabitants are still young; therefore the resting areas of the building are very important: the club room with its coffee corners, computers, television sets, comfortable couches, etc. Next to the club room is an open green patio.
The building's design language is of an unconventional slanting of masses and angles. We used very few materials to enhance this feature.
Architects in charge: Ophir Tsarfati and Eshed Yuval Levy.
