Beit Eliezer Community Center, Hadera (1994-1999)
The Beit Eliezer Community Center is located on a corner of the center of its neighborhood; henceforth it is visible from its whole surrounding. The sandstone used on the facades expresses respectability and shelter and at the same time a connection to local material.
The sandstone is combined with light and modern materials as glass and aluminum. A 'Sculptural equilibrium' exists in the architecture: two high walls cut their way through the lower and rounder masses of the building, and another one, perpendicular to the others, penetrates the building from the front entrance.
