The Ort Milton School, Bat Yam (1997-1998)

The Ort Milton School in Bat Yam is an occupational school for ages 12-19. Each of the age-group classrooms are grouped together with an additional classroom for computers. We were invited to design a new section for the building and reorganize its existing one.

The original occupational rooms had relatively large proportions. Today, due to computerization, these large rooms are no longer necessary, and extra space remains for other uses.  The new section contains two classroom buildings connected by a colonnade. This section, along with our proposed amphitheater, creates several intimate outdoor spaces.
